GENCARE: Journal of Community Service in Health is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the dissemination of community service, community engagement, empowerment, and applied interventions across various health disciplines. The journal provides a scholarly platform for academics, health professionals, practitioners, students, institutions, and community partners to publish innovative and evidence-based community service activities aimed at improving the health and well-being of individuals, families, groups, and communities.

GENCARE welcomes community service articles from a broad range of health disciplines, including nursing, midwifery, medicine, pharmacy, nutrition, dentistry, physiotherapy, public health, environmental health, mental health, reproductive health, health technology, allied health sciences, and other related health fields. Publication Frequency

GENCARE: Journal of Community Service in Health is published biannually, with two issues released each year in April and October.

Archiving Policy

GENCARE: Journal of Community Service in Health is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published scholarly content. To support digital preservation and safeguard academic materials, the journal utilizes recognized archiving systems.

The journal supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system, which allows participating libraries to collect, preserve, and restore journal content in the event of data loss or system failure. Through the LOCKSS network, multiple copies of journal content can be stored across distributed locations to ensure durability and permanent access.

In addition, the journal supports the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a digital preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project. This preservation mechanism is intended to help ensure that published journal content remains securely archived and accessible over the long term.

Through these digital preservation mechanisms, GENCARE is committed to ensuring that published articles remain permanently available and accessible to the academic, professional, and wider community.

GENCARE: Journal of Community Service in Health adalah jurnal peer-reviewed dan open-access yang didedikasikan untuk mempublikasikan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan intervensi berbasis masyarakat dalam berbagai bidang kesehatan. Jurnal ini menjadi wadah ilmiah bagi akademisi, tenaga kesehatan, praktisi, mahasiswa, institusi, dan mitra masyarakat untuk mendiseminasikan program pengabdian yang inovatif, berbasis bukti, dan berkelanjutan.

Jurnal berfokus pada penerapan dan diseminasi ilmu pengetahuan, keterampilan, teknologi, serta inovasi kesehatan untuk membantu menyelesaikan kebutuhan dan permasalahan kesehatan di masyarakat. GENCARE: Journal of Community Service in Health berkomitmen untuk menjamin pelestarian jangka panjang dan aksesibilitas konten ilmiah yang telah dipublikasikan. Untuk mendukung preservasi digital dan menjaga keamanan materi akademik, jurnal menggunakan sistem pengarsipan digital yang diakui.

Jurnal mendukung sistem LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), yang memungkinkan perpustakaan mitra untuk mengumpulkan, melestarikan, dan memulihkan konten jurnal apabila terjadi kehilangan data atau kegagalan sistem. Melalui jaringan LOCKSS, beberapa salinan konten jurnal dapat disimpan pada lokasi yang terdistribusi guna mendukung keberlanjutan dan akses permanen.

Selain itu, jurnal mendukung PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), yaitu layanan preservasi digital yang dikembangkan oleh Public Knowledge Project. Mekanisme preservasi ini ditujukan untuk membantu memastikan bahwa konten jurnal yang telah dipublikasikan tetap tersimpan dengan aman dan dapat diakses dalam jangka panjang.
