Manuscripts submitted to Genius Journal of Nursing (GJN) must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to register and log in to submit manuscripts and monitor the status of their submissions.

Submission Preparation Checklist
Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that:

The manuscript is original and has not been previously published.
-
The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
-
All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.
-
The manuscript follows the journal template and formatting requirements.
-
Figures and tables are placed within the manuscript at the appropriate positions.
-
References include DOI or URL where available.
-
Any conflicts of interest are disclosed.
Types of Manuscripts
The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:
Original Research Articles
Full reports of original research that have not been published elsewhere and contribute significantly to nursing science, clinical practice, or health-related fields.
Review Articles
Critical reviews of the literature including:

Systematic Reviews

Meta-Analyses
-
Scoping Reviews
Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by other journals.
Authorship Criteria
Authorship must comply with the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) criteria. Authors must meet the following conditions:

Substantial contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of the study.

Drafting or critically revising the manuscript.
-
Final approval of the manuscript version to be published.
-
Responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the work.
Authors must also include an Author Contribution Statement based on the CRediT taxonomy.
Practices such as ghost authorship, guest authorship, or gift authorship are not permitted.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must follow the journal template and adhere to the following formatting guidelines:

Font: Cambria
Font size: 11 pt
Line spacing: Single
Paper size: A4
The recommended manuscript length is 3,500–10,000 words, depending on the study design.

Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
Title
The title should be concise and informative, consisting of approximately 10–16 words.
Abstract
The abstract should not exceed 250 words and should summarize the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
Keywords
Provide 3–6 keywords, preferably using MeSH (Medical Subject Headings).
Introduction
The introduction should explain the research background, identify the research gap, and state the study objectives.
Methods
This section should clearly describe:

Data collection procedures

Data analysis methods

Ethical approval information
Authors are encouraged to follow reporting guidelines from the EQUATOR Network, such as:

CONSORT (Randomized Controlled Trials)

STROBE (Observational Studies)

COREQ (Qualitative Research)

PRISMA (Systematic Reviews)
Results
Results should present the findings clearly and logically, supported by tables and figures where appropriate.
Discussion
This section should interpret findings in relation to previous studies and highlight their implications for nursing science and clinical practice.
Implications and Limitations
Authors should discuss the practical implications of their findings and acknowledge study limitations.
Conclusion
The conclusion should summarize the main findings and emphasize the contribution of the research.
Tables and Figures
Tables and figures should:

Be placed within the manuscript at appropriate locations
-
Include clear titles and legends
-
Not duplicate information presented in the text
All abbreviations used in tables and figures must be clearly defined.
References
References must be prepared using a reference manager (e.g., Mendeley) and formatted according to APA 7th Edition style.
Reference requirements:

Minimum 20 references

Preferably published within the last 10 years

At least 85% from journal articles

Each reference should include a DOI or URL
Ethical Considerations
Research involving human participants must include a statement of ethical approval from an institutional ethics committee or review board.
Authors must confirm that informed consent has been obtained where applicable.
